SCOI builds the operational backbone for products that need to survive contact with real users and real money — not just working prototypes. Where most teams stop at a working demo, we build the infrastructure that keeps a product running when things go wrong: idempotent payment flows, immutable ledgers, tenant isolation, retry logic, audit trails, and reconciliation systems.
Our portfolio spans telco gaming (Direct Carrier Billing across three Indonesian operators, ~260K registered users), legal-tech SaaS with domain-specific RAG pipelines, multi-tenant IoT platforms processing 100M+ data points, workforce management systems, and connected hardware platforms — ten products across seven domains, all built on the same underlying discipline.
We're a small, senior team, and we're looking for someone early in their career who wants to learn fast by working on real, production systems — not sandbox projects.
The role
We're hiring a Junior Full Stack Developer to work alongside our senior engineering team on live client and product work. You'll get direct mentorship, real code review, and exposure to systems that actually run in production — this is not a role where you'll be isolated on toy tasks.
You'll report to the Senior Full Stack Developer / Founder, and grow into greater ownership as you demonstrate it.
What you’ll do
- Build features across our Next.js/React frontends and Node.js/NestJS backends, under guidance from senior developers
- Write clean, tested, reviewable code — and take feedback from code reviews seriously as a learning tool
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases on well-scoped tasks, building comfort with schema design and queries over time
- Get exposure to basic infrastructure and deployment processes (AWS, CI/CD) as part of the delivery cycle
- Participate in agile ceremonies — sprint planning, standups, estimation — and learn to size and scope your own work honestly
- Use AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow, and learn to use them well — for speed, not as a substitute for understanding your own code
- Take ownership of small, well-defined pieces of larger features, with a clear path to bigger scope as you grow
Must-have skills

Good to have
- Any exposure to agile/scrum practices
- Curiosity about how production systems actually behave — errors, retries, edge cases — beyond the happy path
- Any exposure to building or integrating with AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), even at a hobby-project level
- A GitHub profile with real projects we can look at — passion projects, open source contributions, coursework
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and how frontend and backend pieces talk to each other

This role is a launchpad. We're looking for someone who wants to earn more ownership quickly, not stay comfortable.
